Another year has gone by, with another ACTS Bible School class graduating. This year ten students attended the Bible School for the majority of the two-month course, with Ben McllWrath from Northern Ireland joining for the last two weeks. During their time in class the students have covered a wide range of Bible subjects, from over 20 teachers. From “How Do We Know The Bible Is True”, to “End Times”, to “The Trinity”, the students have had enough teaching to keep them going for a lifetime as they learn and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Peter Jang, who was a previous ACTS attendee, returned again this year, taking on the role of translator and doing up to five hours of simultaneous translating a day, adding up to well over 100 hours.
They opened the Graduation with a special dance routine set to Hillsong’s “That’s What We Came Here For” while a PowerPoint of photos from the past two months played. ACTS co-ordinator Barry Brannen spoke briefly about how they all did this year and what they have experienced. Each of the Bible School students greatly enjoyed their time in Scotland, receiving hands on experience in the various PWAMM departments, and enjoying times of fellowship with various church families. Sally Lee had a particularly memorable time, having only become a Christian during the Bible school, and because of the impact God made on her life, she requested to be baptized at the Graduation, making it a really special moment for her.
We look forward to next year, while continuing to pray for past students, that they would continue to grow and mature as disciples of Jesus Christ.
