Pastors & Leaders Prayer Luncheons

Since May 2003, God has been calling His leadership
in Scotland to come together to pray for revival

How it Began

It was during the planning of the David Wilkerson “Pastors & Leaders’ Conference” that the organising committee first felt that the Lord would use the conference for something greater. What transpired from the conference was a call from the Lord for the leaders of His Church in the nation to cry out to Him corporately for revival.

Meeting Across the Country

500 ministers and leaders from all across the denominational spectrum are supporting and attending these monthly gatherings to pray for revival. There are regularly 180+ leaders of Christ’s Church coming together to cry out to Him to “hear from heaven and heal our land”.

Unity of the Spirit

From a monthly meeting in Perth, there are now ‘sister’ events in Glasgow and Inverness. It has been inspired by the Spirit of God, who is desiring that His leaders of this hour call upon Him in sincerity and humility. Many ministers comment on the deep sense of the presence of God at these prayer times, as hearts are knit together in true, godly unity.

Times of Refreshing

Being in the ministry, on the front line of the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom, can be a lonely and wearisome task. A good percentage of the ministers are greatly refreshed and encouraged at the gatherings – one described it as his “oasis” in his monthly schedule. A number of pastors who were on the verge of quitting the ministry have been so strengthened and re-envisioned by coming together with like-minded ministers that they have re-committed themselves to press on in their calling.

Three Locations

There are three separate “Prayer for Revival” meetings – the West Coast pastors meet in Glasgow on the third Tuesday of each month; the leaders from across the central belt of Scotland come together on the third Wednesday of each month in Perth; and the Highlands & Islands ministers gather in Inverness on the third Thursday of the Month. Dates may vary on different months though. If you are involved in Christian leadership and have a heart to see revival in the nation of Scotland, you may be interested in attending these meetings.

Who Comes & Why

Pastors and Ministers from all over the nation have caught the vision of these gatherings – from John O’Groats in the North to Argyll and the Borders in the South; from the Western Isles such as Lewis across to Aberdeen. Scotland ‘s major cities of Glasgow , Edinburgh , Aberdeen and Dundee are all represented. Leaders from the historical capital cities of Scotland – Perth , Stirling, and Dunfermline – also attend

The Meeting Format

The format for the meetings in Perth, Glasgow and Inverness is quite simple. Ministers start to gather around 10am for coffee and a chat. About 10.30, they move through to the meeting room for a time of open prayer. The styles of prayer vary greatly – but the hearts are united in purpose. Just before midday, the prayer time concludes and the throng moves through to the dining room for lunch. After good food and good fellowship around the dining tables, there is a time of worship, followed by a guest speaker.
