Aiming to help the elderly and infirmed to know that they are valued and not forgotten

Once a month Senior Citizens’ Lunches are served in the National Christian Outreach Centre in Riggs Road.  About 100 attend on Tuesdays and 150 attend Wednesdays.  Many local people attend these events and transport is provided for those who need help.  Buses transport Senior Citizens from Kinross, Dunkeld, Dundee, Leslie, Thornton and Newburgh

On Wednesday afternoons from 2 – 3.30pm Senior Citizens gather together for a Fellowship Hour where they enjoy a short Bible study sharing the love of God accompanied by a time of singing.  Tea/ coffee, cakes and scones are served  at the end of the meeting when they can relax and chat and encourage one another

Every Sunday afternoon from 2.30 – 3.15pm services are held in local nursing homes.  The Senior Citizens’ Team visit a total of six nursing homes on a regular basis each month.  Similar services also take place in three sheltered housing units throughout the month.  This is followed by tea/coffee and a time of fellowship

On Monday mornings from 11 – 12 noon a church service takes place in the NCOC Annexe in Glasgow Road,  especially for Senior Citizens.  The Lord’s Table is celebrated and an encouraging word is preached as we meet regularly together to celebrate with music and song the goodness of the Lord to us

From gardening/transporting individuals to hospital/visiting at home and in hospital/weekly visits to people in nursing homes/house cleaning. Often working in conjunction with Perth & Kinross Social Services we respond to the needs of the community

Our Annual Senior Citizens Gift Bag Appeal distributes Christmas Gift Bag to hundreds of senior citizens. Beginning with 450 in 2006, the number of bags has increased each year
