Our June Outreach Fellowship Dinner was with Malcolm MacPherson from Gatehouse of Fleet. Malcolm grew up in a good home, although his parents were not Christians. He became very successful in his career as a quarry manager in his early 20’s, and became overseer on a major building project.
Although he occasionally went to church and said prayers each night, he wasn’t a Christian. In his early 20’s he was introduced to a woman who was a Christian. He began conversing with her, trying to catch her out with difficult questions. Although she couldn’t answer all of his questions, he was impacted by her character.
At age 23 Malcolm called out to God. Life was different for him from then on. God has since called Malcolm as an evangelist, and he has spent many years making multiple trips to Russia. Throughout his life as a Christian he has seen God’s hand on his life in many ways.
